Any apple will make cider – just remember though if you choose specific “cider apples” they usually aren’t very edible!

I’d recommend something like this https://www.spear-and-jackson.com/products/garden-tools-outdoor-living/razorsharp-cutting/loppers/razorsharp-advantage-telescopic-tree – or you can see a bigger selection here https://amzn.to/2ELJYaQ
I think I’ve used the spear&jackson in the past and was very happy with it (I say I think because it looks like the one above but I can’t remember exactly what make it was)
    Good luck anyway 🙂

Hi @rexbyrd1983 – welcome to the forum
Sunflowers are good – though wrong season for planting now and they take ages to grow to their full height.
I’d recommend growing some kind of bean in a jar filled with moist kitchen paper – you could see whose develops quickest.
What age are the kids you are teaching – I’ll try to think of some other ideas

@cookiemystery I think Jasminum nudiflorum – Winter Jasmine – copes well with UK climate – not sure if it’s the jasmine you’re after though

I think I once read somewhere that dusting the infested areas with flour helps – apparently it constipates the aphids – never tried it myself though.
How are you getting on with the aphid infestation?

    Welcome to the forum @sayuriao
Ahh a lovely blank canvas to work with 🙂
I’d get hold of the most powerful pressure washer you can find (borrow or hire) and blast off all the gunk from the wall and paving. Then you can paint the wall

    Nice pictures!
Do you know what the strains are called? Also do you have a problem with aphids on the indoor chili plants?

    Hi Alexandra,
Welcome to the forum – I use soapy water and then just keep taking them off by hand – apparently planting alliums like onion or garlic discourages them bu t i’ve never tried this method myself so can’t vouch for it.
Where do you grow the chillis and do you have any pictures?
    All the best

    Hello @bad_boi_john
welcome to the forum – hope you enjoy it 🙂

To get weeds out of a greenhouse definitely do not use any weedkiller – these can linger in the enclosed greenhouse space and will badly affect anything you plant in the near future – especially tomato plants.
Your best bet is to dig out the weeds manually and then cover the ground with a fabric (old carpet is graet for this) over the winter.
In the spring get planting quick and you should have beaten the weeds!
