    Hi everyone..

Looking for recommendations please for a newcomer to greenhouse gardening.. I’m not exactly green-fingered, so am looking for your top five suggestions for straight forward vegetables to start with? If these survive, I plan to get gradually more adventurous!

    Thanks for your input 🙂

This is my first year growing in a wooden frame greenhouse I built last year and I started with a lot of seeds from poundland to be honest…The easiest I found were basil, chilli, cherry tomatoes, salad leaves, and cress which in my view is probably the easiest thing to grow, it seems to grow quicker then you can fill the watering jug haha

    Hi @stephens89 @345mjames @jack

Thanks for the advice – Hopefully they’re going to start selling seeds and plants in their webshop here soon so I can use my points to “buy” some.

Beetroot seems to be a good one for beginners

Cress is normally the easiest, then radishes, cucumber, beetroot and tomatoes.

I kill most plants but basil, cherry tomatoes, pepper, and eggplant have worked for me so far.
