    Hello,

Just bought a greenhouse – does anyone have any advice what seeds I can start planting which will grow through the autumn and winter?

    Thanks

    Hi YH,

If you are thinking of veg you are spoilt for choice!

Cabbage, beets, bok choy, spinach, turnips, kale, Chinese cabbage, Leeks, carrots, radishes, parsnips, onion *phew* and really you can just give whatever you fancy a go! ooo … Potatoes can sometimes work too.

Hope that gives you a few ideas!

    Hi YH,

    Me again!

I’ve just read the Herb Gardening article on here https://goto4gardening.co.uk/lavandula-augustifolia/#comment-286

Why not see what herbs you can grow over the winter? Yum!

oooo!!! What a great investment YH. I’d be looking at all of the spring bedding seeds and plotting my spring bedding displays!! The planning is almost as exciting as the implementing, I reckon 🙂

Can the suggestions made here also apply to seed trays ready for an allotment?

    Thanks

I grew All Year Round and Lollo Rossa lettuce in large self watering pots last winter. Great success as the AYR leaves seemed to last for over a week in the fridge.

you can try overwinter some already existing items you have, otherwise i would say choose a hardy type of veg to grow!
