i have a little space in my greenhouse – would you pop some tomatos in there, or are they really better outside?
i always have more issues will wilt and greenfly when my tomatoes are in the greenhouse
id plump for outside too! greenfly love it in cosy greenhouses!
another vote for out!
haha … wonder if there is a way of creating a poll on here?
id say in – i find it easier to control the environment. there is some talk on here of nematodes – use them they are great!
hmmm … i’d go for outside!
in! i find it gives a longer season … yummy!
Sounds like I won’t be needing that small greenhouse after all. What time of year is best to plant them?
Best time of year to plant tomatoes from seed is Towards the end of March – sow them indoors
This year I grew 12 under glass and 4 outdoors. The 4 outdoors produced twice the yield of the 12 greenhouse grown. Next year it’s going to be more outdoors.
Wow – that’s interesting – what part of the country are you in?
Maybe it was cos of the abnormally hot summer we had?
Mine outdoor in soil much better yield than pots in greenhouse.
