    start with making a plan of basic ideas. clear the areas that are needing the most work then you can look to start adding your ideas as you go. good luck and enjoy.

    I’ve tried to turn my jungle into a cottage garden, I’ve cleared it, it’s pretty bare now and not sure what to plant in it.

    Look for shrubs/plants that need moderate attention to build up a lasting flower bed that come back every year hardy perineal plants is what you looking for. For shrubs that don’t grow big look at box bushes to help fill up the area. Hope that helps.
