argh! Chafer grubs are in my lawn!! One of my mates has suggested nematodes and I see on here that other people have tried them. What are they???? What do they do???
What are they: micro organisms (like tiny little worms)
what do they do: they are ingested by the grubs and this kills the grub
Yes, they work! … if the condtions at the time of application are right.

One big thing to be aware of when using nematodes – NEMATODES DON’T WORK ON HEAVY WET CLAY SOIL – so if you garden on heavy clay soil don’t waste your money on nematodes, just buy some slug pellets and use them sensibly
