So … scarification, dressings, feedings, seedings … which order? What is actually important?
    Thanks!

    Important:
    all of them

    Order:
    (my preference)
    *scarify
    *top dress
    *pre-seed fertiliser
    *leave for 2 weeks
    *over seed

alternate years i spike the lawn after scarifying. Hope that that helps a bit Abi 🙂

If you’re garden fills with leaves (mine certainly does!) make sure you are raking them off every few days. Apart from blocking the light and looking a bit untidy, they bring far too much nitrogen into the soil – not good at all for grass. Sometimes its just the simple things!

    totally, fuscia!!

any care and attention you give to your lawn now will get you on a great footing towards a lovely looking lawn next year – remember that grass is a plant; it cant look perfect 365 days a year!
