i am the orchid killer – HELP! :)

    i love orchids, but they just die on me. what could i be doing wrong??

    ummm … how can you kill an orchid? lol

    ignore it in a position where it is light but not direct light, water about once a fortnight and dont let it sit in water.

    is it in a drafty area? I love them and always had them in my last flat, cant keep them any more 🙁

    they can be a bit picky with light too – light but not direct sunlight. And as marty says, well away from a draft …. which is why you need to be careful abotu where you buy them from! Cut flowers and pot plants by the drafty supermarket door anyone?? <<< just dont buy them, they will not last!

    If you’ve got a Phalaenopsis orchid (most common one sold in garden cnetres, supermarkets etc). It’s important not to let night time temperatures drop below 16 degrees so be careful now in the winter months
